AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES

Autoimmune diseases result from a dysfunction of the immune system leading it to attack normal constituents of the body.  There are autoimmune diseases that affect one organ in particular (such as autoimmune thyroid disease), and systemic autoimmune diseases, such as lupus, which can affect several organs.

The immune system is a compound  of a set of cells which ensure the elimination of pathogenic viruses and bacteria and which normally knows the difference between the cells of external pathogenic agents and the cells of the cells of its own body.  In autoimmune disease, following an acute or chronic inflammatory response, the cells of the immune system begin to attack the body's own cells in an uncontrolled way.

Factors that predispose to autoimmune diseases:

  • Genetic predispositions

  • Viral or bacterial infection

  • Following an allergic reaction

  • Weakened immune system due to nutritional deficiencies

  • Imbalance of the intestinal flora

  • Heavy metal poisoning

  • Pollution

Some autoimmune diseases;

  • Biermer's anemia

  • Type 1 diabetes

  • Hypothyroidism

  • Lupus erythematosus

  • Celiac disease :

  • Graves' disease  (Graves)

  • Crohn's disease

  • Ulcerative colitis

  • Systemic sclerosis

  • Multiple sclerosis

  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis

The objectives of  treatment are the regulation and reduction of the immune response through an anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic nutritional program that fills nutritional deficiencies, as well as the reduction of other aggravating factors such as stress and sedentary lifestyle;  in order to obtain a remission of the symptoms of the disease in a natural and balanced way.
